AN INSPIRING trio from Flintshire are organising a 24-hour boxathon at the Mold Amateur Boxing Club to raise funds for a very special young girl.

Two-year-old Talia Crabtree from Mold first developed epilepsy at just six months of age.

Still awaiting for an updated diagnosis, Talia suffers from a range of different seizures which make it incredibly difficult for her to lead a safe and normal life.

Her mum, Gemma, says Myoclonic and Focal seizures affect her around 20/30 times on a daily basis meaning she requires constant care.

To raise crucial funds for Talia's future treatment and essential equipment, a fundraising event has been organised by family friend Sam Small, Zak Edward from Flex Gym in Flint and Michael Phillips from Mold ABC Boxing Gym.

On May 17, the three men will take on an impressive 24-hour boxathon in the hope of making her every day life that little bit easier. See the GoFundMe page here.

Gemma said: "We love spending time as a family on days out but its always a worry and a risk.

"We have to carry her medication with us and always worry where the nearest hospital is if we need one.

"We had a holiday booked abroad but had to cancel it due to finding out she is now also photosensitive and she's affected by bright sun. We were just too worried to go away with her.

"We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated. It's massively appreciated and we can't thank them enough."

If anyone would like to make a donation of any size, Talia and her family would be hugely appreciative of your kindness.
