A COFFEE shop has opened in Rhyl, fulfilling a lifelong ambition for its owner.

Parveen Coffee, at 5 Bodfor Street, opened at the old Job Centre Plus site last week, and is run by owner Yasir Malik.

Mr Malik, from Rhyl, previously owned his own pizza and kebab takeaway, but said he wanted “something different” for his career.

Serving a range of cold, hot and iced drinks, the shop also offers a range of sandwiches and toasties, as well as sausage rolls.

Mr Malik told the Journal: “It’s a great opportunity for us to introduce our business.

“Business has been good so far - I worked in a Starbucks not long ago, and I always wanted to open a coffee shop.

“I had a pizza and kebab shop before and wanted something different for myself.”

The café is open every day from 8.30am until 5pm.
