INSPIRING breast cancer survivor Jules Peters has had a nipple tattoo in the hope of feeling "fully feminine" again.
Jules, of Dyserth, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 after finding a lump, had the tattoo as part of her breast cancer reconstruction.
The mum-of-two said: "Full restoration is not for everyone, I understand, but for me, I need to complete the journey to be able to look at my breast reflection again in the mirror, rather than avoiding it as so many breast cancer survivors do.
"I haven't cried in a long time but on Tuesday (April 2), I couldn't seem to stop crying. It is like I had no control...as if I was letting go. Not just of my breast cancer story but also of Mike's leukaemia story."
Jules, who owns The Red in Dyserth, is married to Mike Peters, frontman of The Alarm.
The singer relapsed and was hospitalised in September 2022 following an acclaimed national tour with his band [Mike was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia in 2005].
The singer stopped responding to his medication and had to undergo a new gruelling treatment plan.
Fortunately, in March 2024, Mike and his family got the news they had been longing for; Dr Heartin confirmed a perfect set of bloods for Mike.

Jules, who has inspired thousands of women and regularly urges readers to check themselves, has been vocal about her life-changing recovery journey.
Jules said: "Life has been so kind to Mike and I in many ways but we are definitely who we are, for living life alongside the slings and arrows of cancer.
"I’ve learned to be very tough, to not give up, to be tough on myself, tough love, otherwise I would have crumpled and not been able to face the day or be strong for the boys and my family."
Talking about the tattoo, she said: "I needed to take this final step to make me feel fully feminine again.
"Breast Cancer can be a brutal journey of surgery, chemo and radiotherapy but I am so grateful for being given a second chance at life back in 2016 when my surgeon and oncologist removed and thankfully stopped my cancer from progressing.
"Now I am excited to be restored to the woman I was, before discovering three lumps in my right breast at the age of 49."
