ABERGELE's Manorafon Farm Park which re-opens to visitors in a matter of days has gone 'cashless' this season.

The much-loved attraction, which will hold its 'Great Easter EGGsperience' between March 23 and April 1, revealed on social media earlier this month that they were going cashless

Jules Arrowsmith, Company Director at Manorafon Farm Park, told the Pioneer: "Whilst over 92 per cent of payments received are by card or contactless we do appreciate that this decision may frustrate some customers.

"Rising bank fees for processing cash, the closure of local branches and reduced opening hours at others has made cash a difficult commodity to handle.

"Many attractions and leisure facilities across the UK have already gone cashless and should banks continue to increase fees for processing cash and closing local branches it's inevitable that more will follow.

"Although going cashless is an outcome of external pressures we do anticipate improved efficiencies at check out stations and a reduced element of risk for our team and family."

This year's Easter event at the farm park will allow visitors to get their chocolate fix.
