THE waterpark at Rhyl's SC2 remains closed.

Residents were hoping the pool - which features flume rides, beach style paddling and interactive play features, would open ahead of February half term, but the attraction has been unable to open the pool after damage occurred to the roof of the building. It is currently undergoing maintenance work.

One reader said to the Journal: "I was disappointed to find it wasn't open during half-term. It seems to have been closed for a long time, since Christmas I think? I was hoping to take my little ones during the school break."

Another reader asked: "Do you know if SC2 provide baby and toddler swim sessions anymore or when the pool will open again? The pool hasn't been open for such a long time. Every time I go to book, there is not the option to. I can see on the website it states 'SC2’s waterpark is currently closed, while we carry out some maintenance work' - but I don't know what this means or why it is taking so long."
