A POP-UP strip club became a room full of flamboyance and pride as Rhyl's first even LGBTQ+ event of its type took place at the weekend.

"Valentine's Gay" was held at Front Room, High Street, Rhyl, on Saturday, where attendees were invited to be ready to celebrate love, pride, and all things fabulous.

The event was organsied by the entrepreneur behind Nancy's Girls Strip Club who has been running pop up stripper nights at pubs and clubs - in the Rhyl area for about two years.

Nancy said: "Our first ever LGBTQ+ strip night was a success, especially being the first one ever in Wales we weren't completely sure what to expect.

"It was unusual for us to have such a range of people, which is exactly what our aim was and I'm so happy we reached the audience we were looking for!

"People came in drag and it was a room of beautiful flamboyant colour and pride!

"Some of our regulars came to support which was really heartwarming.

"Jordanna, the first trans stripper in Wales did well for her first event and would love to come back.

"Customers are already asking when the next one is, so I look forward to planning our next LGBTQ+ strip night in the summer, we're hoping to link it in with PRIDE Cymru."

As well as Nancy and her regular female dances, there was a male stripper called Bear and trans performer Jordanna.

There were stage performances from all the dancers, games, a chance to mingle, and performances from The Royal Serenity and other North Wales drag queens.

Nancy added: "I would like to make a special mention to thank our talented DJ and drag star 'Serenity Royal' as well as strippers Bear and Paige who were the highest earners on the night, and Jess Bracey, Reina, Jinxx and Jordanna.

Those who missed the night, can see some of the action when the S4C documentary 'Stripped' airs this year.

Nancy said: "S4C are hoping the documentary 'Stripped' will be out by the end of April and I wouldn't be surprised if you'll soon see more of Nancy's Girls on the TV in the future.

Our usual strip nights continue with the next one being back in Tinkers Bar, Rhyl on the 29th February."
