AN AREA of Kinmel Bay had to be cordoned off by police after a vehicle drove through a wall and hit a parked car yesterday (January 22).

An air ambulance was also called to the incident, which took place on Foryd Road at about 10.30am, and saw one casualty “trapped” in their vehicle.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service also attended.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said yesterday: “We were called at 10.30am to reports of a vehicle that had driven through a wall and collided with a parked vehicle at a property on Foryd Road, Kinmel Bay.

“Officers attended alongside colleagues from Helimed (air ambulance) and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

“A cordon remains in place due to concerns around structural damage to the property.”

A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called to this incident at 10.41ham – two appliances attended.

“One moving vehicle was involved.

“Crews assisted with two casualties, one of whom had been trapped in the vehicle. Ambulance and police also attended.”

A spokesperson for Wales Air Ambulance added: “I can confirm that the Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in that region yesterday.

“Our Caernarfon-based crew were allocated at 10.27am and attended by air. They arrived at the scene at 10.55am. Our involvement concluded at 1.17pm.”
