PRESTATYN's Christmas float is now back on the road and is ready to carry Santa around the streets.

Prestatyn’s Rotarians have been spreading festive cheer around the area for about 70 years.

Amie Dop, president of Prestatyn Rotary, has chosen three good causes for the collection:

Hafod: Hafod are hoping to make their waiting room look much brighter, with comfortable seating, and improve what there is for patients to do whilst waiting. At present it is somewhat dark and uncomfortable.

Glan Traeth: The Occupational Therapy Team within the Royal Alexandra in Rhyl are looking at funding new items to support patients with home based memory rehabilitation (HBMR) intervention. Patients who have received HBMR have said that they “value the weekly support” and “it has helped build confidence to continue maintaining independence in daily tasks”.

This type of therapy goes over and above what the NHS usually funds and is an added extra for patients requiring this service.

Woody'S Lodge: Woody's Lodge stands as a sanctuary for those who have valiantly served in the Armed Forces or Emergency Services, offering a warm haven where veterans and their families can find expert advice, unwavering support, camaraderie, and enduring friendships.

A donation from the rotary will play a pivotal role in sustaining the critical services and programmes that Woody's Lodge offers.
