A COACH company based in Dyserth will mark 75 years of business with a variety show and concert in Rhyl next September.

Voel Coaches will celebrate at Rhyl’s Pavilion Theatre on September 20 and 21, 2024, with boy band Blue among those performing, as well as Boyzlife, made up of Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden.

The company was founded in 1949 and is still family-run today, offering a wide range of day trips and coach holidays to locations across the UK and Europe.

Its schedule will comprise two days of music, celebrations, activities, and opportunities for their customers to win prizes.

Mavis & Melvyn Kerfoot-Davies, proprietors of Voel Coaches, said: “To mark this prestigious milestone of our company, we are really excited to be bringing these fantastic concerts to the local area for our surrounding communities who have supported us over the years.

“We have some extra special surprises coming up in 2024.”

Michelle Kerfoot-Higginson, managing director of Voel Coaches, added: “Having been brought up in the business, I have seen the company go from strength to strength.

“I am very proud to be managing a team of supportive employees. Here’s to another 75 years!”

The two-day event next September is being managed by Chris Gentile and Jessica Blacknell, both of whom are employees of Voel Coaches.

They said: "The company is celebrating its 75th anniversary, which is a significant milestone. What better way to honour our communities' heritage than by organising two exciting concerts?

“It is a joy to be bringing some of the performers in the line-up to the Pavilion Theatre after we have taken many passengers to see them at theatres and arenas throughout the UK.

“This is just the beginning of what we have planned for 2024!”

This line-up also includes Heather Small, the voice of M People, The Jerseys, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists, Welsh of the West End, the Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir and rising talent, Ella-Grace.
