A CHINESE restaurant and takeaway in Rhuddlan has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Fei Von (formerly Prosperity), at The Old Bank, High Street, was given the score after assessment on October 10, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The business was rated well for its hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of its facilities, scoring ‘generally satisfactory’ and ‘good’ in these categories respectively.

However, the takeaway was let down by its management of food safety, which was rated ‘major improvement necessary’.
This refers to the system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the confidence the food safety officer has that standards will be maintained in future.
Fei Von was approached for comment.
It means that of Denbighshire's 258 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 169 (66 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
