A NEW body piercings shop is to open in Conwy next year, following the business’ success at its store in Llandudno.

“Brazen Body Piercings” is planning to welcome customers to 17 Bangor Road from January 27, 2024.

It will be the second shop that 37-year-old Zoe Beaumont has opened for this business, having run a store on Vaughan Street, Llandudno for more than two years.

Zoe, a single mother-of-three from Old Colwyn who has also spent the year battling breast cancer, is promising customers in Conwy a “high-end piercing experience”.

She said: “I’ve been a piercer for more than 10 years, and had my Llandudno studio for over two years now, so this is just an expansion. There’s not currently a body piercer in Conwy full-time.

“We find that a lot of people on a day out in Conwy don’t then want to go over to Llandudno, so I think there’s a gap in the market there.

“In the store, it will be me and my two apprentices, both of whom will be fully trained up by Easter.

“We have a four-day working week, so we’ll each do two days in Llandudno and two in Conwy, so that’s how we’ll be able to staff both of them.

“I’ve got another person moving up from London some time next year, so between the four of us, both shops will then be able to open full-time.”

Zoe’s anticipated opening date of January 27 falls one day prior to her 38th birthday, meaning she is hopeful of a double celebration that weekend.

Though this year has been a “long slog”, she is hoping that, shortly after the Conwy store’s opening, she will receive the all-clear following her breast cancer diagnosis.

Already, she has undergone chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy.

She added: “It’s been a long slog this year, but just through my and my team’s hard work, we’ve managed to get to this point.

“The Conwy store is going to be appointment only, because there’ll only be one member of staff working there at a time. There’ll be no tattoos – only piercings.

“It’s going to be a high-end piercing experience, featuring a lot of products from a lot of high-end jewellery companies. There’s going to be a lot of gold, lab-grown diamonds, and natural gemstones.”
