A PRIMARY school in Rhyl has warned parents after "quite a few pupils" were absent earlier this week, with no reason for their absence.
Ysgol Emmanuel, at Victoria Road, said that several pupils were absent when they were due to return on Monday (November 6) after the half-term break.
The school said there was no reason or notice given for the absentees, and that if reasons were not given, children's non-attendance would be marked as "unauthorised".

In a notice to parents on social media, Ysgol Emmanuel said: "We have quite a few pupils absent today with no reason for absence.
"A polite reminder that if your child is absent please provide the school with a reason via text/WhatsApp or leave a message on the school's voicemail.
"If we don't receive a reason for absence your child's absence will be marked as unauthorised."
Ysgol Emmanuel was forced to close during Storm Babet, after heavy rainfall caused flooding to "overflow" the school's toilets.
