A COUPLE of men have pleaded not guilty to being responsible for a dog which allegedly caused injury to multiple people at a holiday park in Kinmel Bay last month.

Thomas Skillen, 28, of Marine Road, Abergele; and Ian Loftus, 58, of Argoed, Kinmel Bay, denied the charges at Caernarfon Crown Court today (October 16).

They will now stand trial at Mold Crown Court on Monday, March 18.

Skillen denied being responsible for a Rottweiler Cross which, while dangerously out of control, injured four people at The Magpie and Stump bar at Palins Holiday Park, Morfa Avenue on September 15.

He pleaded guilty to charges of affray and of assaulting Jared Roberts, but denied assaulting Korena James, on the same date at the park.

Loftus also denied being responsible for the Rottweiler Cross accused of injuring the same four people at The Magpie and Stump.

In addition, he pleaded not guilty to charges of affray and of assaulting Jared Roberts, at the holiday park on September 15.

They appeared in court via videolink, having been remanded in custody.

Following the incident, North Wales Police said that a man had been taken to hospital with a serious arm injury after allegedly being bitten by a dog.

North Wales Police added that the dog was seized from a residential address and was taken to appropriate kennels, where its welfare was being managed.
