He performed such songs as “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, and The Temptations’ “My Girl”.

A spokesperson for Morton Arms said: “It was a fantastic night had by all. The dancefloor was full all night, and the atmosphere was electric.

“We have had amazing feedback, and we hope to welcome Ray back very soon! Ray and Mavmac put on an amazing performance.”

Quinn added: “This was my first gig back after my wedding and I could not have chosen a better night.

“The atmosphere was amazing; so warm and welcoming, from Darren the compere, to the audience. A big thank you to everyone.

“I would love to return to Morton Arms in the future.”

Quinn came second to Leona Lewis in The X Factor in 2006, before winning Dancing on Ice in 2009, and again in the 2014 "all-stars" series.

Already this year, Morton Arms has welcomed Garry Pease, also known as “The Rod Stewart Experience”, as well as comedian and actor Crissy Rock.

It welcomed back customers for the first time since late November on March 31, having been closed for several months due to refurbishment works being carried out.
