THE DISABLED toilets at Pensarn beach are closed to the public after being damaged, just a week after the female toilets were repaired for a second time.

The toilets were closed earlier this summer because of vandalism, shortly after undergoing refurbishment works.

They then reopened, before the door to the ladies toilets was damaged last week, forcing it to close yet again.

This has been repaired, but damage to the disabled toilet door has put the facility “out of action”.

The council are now waiting for additional parts in order to make repairs.

A Conwy County Borough Council spokesperson said: “We share the residents' frustration that these toilets are so often out of order due to vandalism and misuse.

“The ladies and gents toilets are open – the ladies door was forced last week but has been repaired again.

“The disabled toilet door has been damaged by people misusing the lock, which has broken the door mechanism and put the facility out of action.

“This toilet will remain closed while we wait for the additional parts needed to repair it.”
