THE hugely popular Classic Car Show is set to return to the streets of Prestatyn next week.

The event will be held on August 28 on the upper part of Prestatyn’s High Street, which will close for the duration.

After being postponed for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the car show returned with great success last year, with thousands of people attending the event.

Organiser Tim Williams said the show was “getting bigger every year” and that would be a welcome late summer boost for the town.

He told the Journal: “It’s more popular than ever, we love to see the crowds enjoying the day."

The Classic Car Show started in 2000, and there are expected to be more than 400 vehicle entries, and with showpieces ranging from Ferraris to classic Fords, and Morris Minors to Maseratis, there will be something for everyone.

There will also be food, drink and craft stalls at the show, and a free vintage bus will run between the town and the beach every 30 minutes.

The event is preceded by the Classic Car Run on Sunday, 27 August, where 100 cars will take part, with the run to finish at the Beaches Hotel (who sponsor the event).
