A WOMAN from Abergele has claimed her cat was one of a number of the animals to have been shot in the town.
Sarah Mattison, 39, said that 11-year-old Tomi was allegedly shot in the head in May, at close range through the eye, possibly on Gele Park or in its surrounding area.
It is believed that a number of residents of Abergele have also reported that their cats have been shot of late.

She added: “This sweet girl made her way home and the vets operated to remove the bullet. They also had to remove her little eye.
“The bullet just missed her brain and they extracted it from her pallet. Wern Vets in Abergele took care of her.

When contacted, North Wales Police said the force is aware of incidents regarding injuries to cats in Abergele.
Anyone with further information has been urged to contact police.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We were called at 2.30pm on July 5 (a separate incident) to report a cat receiving an injury in the Abergele area.
“Officer enquiries are now underway to investigate the cause of the injuries.
“We would ask anyone with information about this to contact us quoting reference A105330.”
Attempts were also made to contact the RSPCA for further comment.
