YOUNG people who attend the Kinmel Bay Youth Club took part in a litter pick in the area.

10 young people aged between 11 and 14 visit the youth club weekly to take part in activities such as arts and crafts, cook and eat sessions, quizzes and games, team challenges, film nights and consultations.

They decided to join in the community litter pick, which took place on an evening the youth club runs as part of a joint initiative with Creating Enterprise and Cartrefi Conwy.

Equipment was provided by the communities facilities coordinator at Creating Enterprise and Cartrefi Conwy, Ami Jones, and there was also pizza organised for all those involved.

Julie Fallon, Cabinet Member responsible for the Youth Service, said: “It’s great to see young people participating in activities like this, taking pride in where they live and helping to make their community a tidier and safer place.”

Altogether, 26 bags of litter were collected and disposed of.
