A “VERY spooky episode” of the television programme “Help! My House Is Haunted” was filmed in Rhyl earlier this week.

The show, which you can watch on Discovery+, involves a team of experts who travel the UK looking into instances of paranormal activity in the homes of ordinary people.

Paranormal researcher Bethan Briggs-Miller, who hosts the podcasts “Eerie Essex” and “Spectre of the Sea”, will appear on the episode as the historian and folklore expert.

Filming took place yesterday (March 15), with Bethan expecting the episode to air in autumn.

She said: "I looked at the history of the area – the paranormal history, the folklore – and tried to narrow it down to the street where the house that they’re investigating is.

“Once they’ve got that information, it builds a bigger picture, and I did actually manage to find very specific things about the paranormal nature of the street, which I think will link in quite nicely.

“We uncovered some very interesting paranormal history of the location, and it should make for a very spooky episode. They’re still making connections with things.

“It’s going to be a really dark, interesting episode – it’s good and gory. I’m super excited about it – I’d love to tell you all about it, but I can’t yet!”

It was a first visit to Rhyl for Bethan, who herself hails from South Wales.

She also enjoyed a trip to Les Harkers Amusements on West Parade with her mother, where they “desperately tried to win a Grogu!”

The fourth series of “Help! My House Is Haunted” concluded last December.
