ARRESTS were made in Prestatyn yesterday (March 15) in relation to misuse of drugs offences.

A resident who contacted the Journal said that they saw two males being arrested at a property on Rhodfa Wyn, on the Tower Gardens estate, between 4.45pm and 5.10pm.

The eyewitness, who also took the above photos and asked not to be named, added: “Around 12 to 16 plain-clothes police officers surrounded the house.

“Items could be seen being removed, and then two males could be seen being arrested.”

North Wales Police confirmed that arrests were made following a joint operation with officers with Merseyside Police.

A force spokesperson said: “A joint pro-active policing day was conducted yesterday in our area with officers from Merseyside Police, tackling offenders locally and on the roads.

“A number of arrests were made for driving and misuse of drugs offences.

“Our investigations will continue and proceedings remain active in respect of the arrests.”
