Jacob Knightly, who runs the arcade, said: “It’s gone well; we’re really happy with it. Everybody seems to be enjoying it, and we’ve had a few good reviews so far.

“We’re running the same as the bigger VR systems at places in London, at a fraction of the cost – it’s £12.50 for 30 minutes, per person.

“We’ve had people ranging from all ages; we had an 80-year-old playing ‘Dead Ahead’, the zombie game, the other day!

“‘Dead Ahead’ has definitely been the most popular game so far – there are three different levels you can choose from, and you stand in a barricaded area, fighting off waves of zombies.

“The style of animation is more cartoony than horror, though.

“Everyone’s been very positive about it. We’re the first place in North Wales to have anything like this.”
