A VINTAGE superstore is set to open in Rhyl this week, which will raise money for St Kentigern Hospice.

The Preloved Warehouse is having the final touches put in place ahead of its official opening on Thursday, 27 October, and members of the public are invited to join and celebrate the occasion from 11am at the site on Wellington Road, Rhyl.

The grand opening includes a special sale of the store’s stock with bargains on furniture and vintage items, as well as raffles, a tombola, classic cars on the car park and Caffi Cariad offering free tasty treats to shoppers.

The shop will encourage second-hand shopping, with proceeds to go towards the hospice.

North Wales celebrity Spencer Wilding, best known for his appearances in Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and Harry Potter, will be cutting the official ribbon and chatting with guests as they browse.

“The preloved market is booming, fuelled by the current cost of living increases and the growing popularity of ethical buying,” said Val Corner, Retail Manager at St Kentigern Hospice.

“We are experiencing growth in younger people buying used and vintage products. Preloved shopping lowers the impact of the things we consume by reusing items that already exist.”
