EMERGENCY services in North Wales have paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who died yesterday.

The Queen died peacefully at her Balmoral Castle estate yesterday, The Royal Family said.

Temporary Chief Constable of North Wales Police, Richard Debicki, said: “It is with great sadness we learn of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

“On behalf of North Wales Police I offer my deepest condolences to the Royal Family at this sad time and our gratitude for the lifetime of service she gave.

“She will be deeply missed not only across the United Kingdom, but across the world for her dedication and commitment to a life of service.”

As a mark of respect flags will be at half-mast at Force Headquarters in Abergele, and all other force buildings where there is a flag pole.

Chief Fire Officer of North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Dawn Docx, said: "It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II this evening.

"We join the rest of the country in mourning and extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family.

"This is desperately sad news which will be felt profoundly by the entire nation but at this difficult time we reflect on the long-lasting legacy Her Majesty leaves behind and celebrate in her extraordinary life."

Welsh Ambulance Service Chief Executive, Jason Killens, said: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“During her long and celebrated reign, Her Majesty was an exemplary monarch who gave her entire life to serving the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth with unwavering pride.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the entire Royal Family at this incredibly sad time.”

Welsh Ambulance Service Chair, Martin Woodford, added: “Her Majesty Elizabeth II worked tirelessly for the good of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, supporting many organisations who will mourn her greatly.

“The thoughts of everyone at the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust are with the Royal Family at this difficult time.”

A spokesperson for Traffic North Wales, who work on behalf of the Welsh Government, said: “We are saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II.

“We send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family in their grief.

“May she rest in peace.”

A Conwy RNLI Lifeboat spokesperson said: “On behalf of everyone involved with the RNLI and us here at Conwy Lifeboat Station, we send our heartfelt condolences to The Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

“The Queen dedicated 70 years as Patron of the RNLI.

Her Majesty’s support for our lifesavers - and our cause - will never be forgotten.”

RNLI Chief Executive Mark Dowie said:"On behalf of everyone involved with the RNLI, we send our heartfelt condolences to The Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

"Her Majesty has dedicated 70 years as patron of the RNLI, engaging with and recognising the efforts of thousands of our people.

"We place on record our sincere thanks for Her Majesty’s unwavering commitment to saving lives at sea.

"Our thoughts are with The Royal Family and Her Majesty’s loyal subjects across the United Kingdom and The Commonwealth."
