A MAN has been ordered to pay almost £700 after he pleaded guilty to exhibiting threatening behaviour and causing criminal damage to property in Rhyl.

William Brown, 42, of Juniper Road, Castle Cary, was accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour against Robert Preater with the intent to provoke unlawful violence against him, and of damaging a fire door on Beechwood Road, on December 27, 2021.

Brown pleaded guilty to both offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on August 10.

The court ordered him to pay £190 in compensation, a fine of £380, costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a victim surcharge of £38.

This totalled £693, which he is to pay in monthly instalments of £50 from September 9.
