STUDENTS at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan should be “very proud” of their achievements, their headteacher has said.

The Abergele high school’s students received their A-Level results today, with the school wanting to “extend our congratulations to the following learners”, who have achieved excellent results:

  • Libby Williams - 2A* 1A 1B
  • Emily Woodward - 1A* 2A 1B
  • Adam Ferguson - 1A* 2A 1B
  • Holly Waterhouse - 3A 1B
  • Lewis Ferguson - 2A 2B
  • Riley Leighton - 2A 1B 1C
  • Charlie Platt - 2A 1B
  • Hannah Williams - 2A 2C

A significant number of Year 13 learners have achieved “incredible” success, including achieving the highest possible grades, in a mixture of A level and vocational subjects.

These pupils include Alisha Bolton, Darcey Cheung, Phoebe Hennigan, Sila Kanli, Kaya Watson, Jamie Lee Agombar, Nia Atkinson, Cody Bayliss, Jade Brownell, Demi Butterworth, Samantha Cassidy, Kate Davies, Nevaeh Elliott, Leila Green, Maizie Hickey, Emily Hull and Lauren Poulton-Massey.

Headteacher Sue Williams added: “We are all very proud of the learners in Years 12 and 13 for all that they have achieved.

“We wish those learners who are moving on to university, employment or training all the very best for the future.”
