Transport for Wales (TfW) are not taking part in the strike this weekend by members of the train driver’s union, but as a result will see its services become extremely busy due to the severely reduced timetable.
TfW services on the South Wales Main Line between Swansea and Newport are expected to very busy due to the absence of Great Western Railway (GWR) services between Cardiff and Swansea, and an extremely limited service between Cardiff and Newport on Saturday.
TfW have however confirmed that they will be running additional services along this route to provide additional capacity.
