IF you have ever wanted to know what it is like to be a king or queen, now is your chance with Gwrych Castle’s new hospitality venture.

The Castle Estate have launched Tan-yr-Ogo Lodge as a holiday let, which is located within the grounds, giving members of the public the opportunity to stay overnight at the Castle’s gate lodge.

The unique stay caters for up to six guests, as well as pets, with three bedrooms and a bathroom, but the lodge’s surroundings are truly special.

Rhyl Journal:

Passing under a huge stone Tudor-arched entrance gateway, into an inner courtyard, the drive turns ninety degrees and rises past more towers and walls to reveal the lodge itself.

There are least eleven towers set within the curtain walls and the accommodation is set within two of the largest towers which are linked by a long gallery.

With a kitchen and dining room, a drawing room with two sofa beds, a wood burning stove, the master bedroom in the East Tower offers sprawling views of the countryside and sea, with the long gallery preceding it offering similarly spectacular views.

To the front of the lodge are extensive and private gardens for the whole family to enjoy, consisting of a seating area, lawn and access to Gwrych Castle’s nine miles of permissive woodland walks.

Furthermore, guests receive a complimentary day pass to Gwrych Castle, being able to explore where I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was filmed in 2020 & 2021, with props from the show now on exhibition.
