DENBIGH Golf Club attracted a host of visitors and members alike to the open competitions organised last week, although the home members dominated the scoring.

The most amazing score recorded was in Thursday’s stableford with Len Padmore returning an amazing score of 47 points, which matched the winning score of both the open pairs competition.

However, another outstanding result was on the final Sunday, when husband and wife team of Gary and Judy Owen returned 48 points in the open mixed.

Credit to the pair, who played off 16 and 15 respectively, in comparison to most winners these days with a much higher handicap advantage.
