THE highly-anticipated K-Fest is to return to Rhyl in August, having proved a roaring success in its first year in 2019.
Now, following the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival is set to return to Rhyl Events Arena during the weekend of August 5-7, as reported in the Journal earlier this week.

K Fest to return Rhyl to a showman's hotspot
The three-day music festival will have a different theme each day and will feature household names from the world of pop, indie and electronic dance music.
Following on from the initial announcement of K-Fest’s return, he’s more of what to expect on each individual day of the festival:
Day One – Friday, August 5
The first day of K-Fest will feature primarily electronic dance music acts, with Graeme Park (Hacienda) the main headline act.
Performing on August 5 are:

• A DJ set from Garlands Nightclub Liverpool
• Boxia (drumcode)

The event will have a main outdoor stage plus one (weather permitting) tented area for more specialist and niche dance genres hosted by DJs from across North Wales.
Day Two – Saturday, August 6
The second day of K-Fest is “Indie/Live Band Day”, which will be headlined by Liverpool group Cast, featuring former member of the La’s, John Power.

There will also be a Northern Soul and Motown tent on Day Two of K-Fest, too.
Day Three – Sunday, August 7
The third and final day of K-Fest is “Family/Fun Tribute Day”, which will be headlined by tribute acts The Phonics (Stereophonics) and The Cavernites (The Beatles).

In addition, on Day Three, there will also be children’s entertainment zone, a “Little Raverz Hour”, an “‘80s Disco Hour” with a guest DJ, fairground rides, food, drink and fun.
Children younger than 12 are also welcome free of charge on the third day, which is also a dog-friendly day.
