A stage performance dedicated to the singer Gladys Knight is coming to the Rhyl Pavilion this summer.
‘Midnight Train to Georgia: A Celebration of Gladys Knight’ features Hayley Ria Christian portraying the legendary Motown singer, who began singing with her siblings aged eight, calling themselves ‘The Pips’.
They would go on to be known as Gladys Knight & the Pips, and Knight would go on to receive the Society of Singers ELLA Award at which time she was declared the ‘Empress of Soul’.
The performance in Rhyl will feature hit songs including Baby Don’t Change Your Mind, Help Me Make It Through the Night, Try To Remember/The Way We Were, Part Time Love, Licence To Kill and her signature tune, Midnight Train To Georgia.
The celebration will come to the Rhyl Pavilion on Saturday, 30 July, with tickets available from rhylpavilion.co.uk or by calling the Box Office on 01745 330000.
