Police in Flintshire are reminding residents that any knives can be handed into Mold or Deeside’s police stations as part of Operation Sceptre this week.
Operation Sceptre is a national initiative to tackle knife crime by giving the public the opportunity to hand them in to police stations and will have special amnesty bins at the front desk.

The operation runs from May 16-22 and is coordinated by the National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC).
In the Flintshire area, you will be able to attend Mold or Deeside Police station and hand in any knives for disposal.
Mold Police station is open daily between 9am – 1pm / 3pm – 6pm
Deeside Police Station is not fully staffed and is open as follows:
18/05/22 - Closed
19/05/22 - Closed
20/05/22 - 8/4pm
21/05/22 - Closed
22/05/22 - Closed
In a statement, an officer said: “Please feel free to pass this information to friends and family and help us take weapons off the streets.”
