A FISH which was left abandoned in its tank in Towyn was taken in and cared for by a sports bar in the town before a resident later offered to take it home.

Lucy Grocott and her friend Lilly, both of whom work in Cues Sports and Entertainment Bar, rushed to help the fish after noticing on the “Towyn Talk” Facebook group that it had been left on the corner of Bryn Road.

Lucy and Lilly helped clean “Cued”’s tank up before a customer at the bar took it home.

Lucy said: “We were just in Cues having a drink on Sunday (May 17), and my friend Lilly saw it on Towyn Talk that he’d been abandoned.

“So, we ran to get him, brought him back to the pub, and cleaned him up, because his tank was looking a little bit mucky.

“For the rest of the night, he sat at the side of the bar getting attention off everyone who was coming in to the pub.

“He stayed there for the rest of the night, and then one of the locals who come into the pub very kindly took him home.

“He is currently living in Towyn, being well looked after. We named him ‘Cued’!”
