TRIBUTES have been paid to an "amazing" 13-year-old girl who tragically lost her life in a recent road traffic crash in Flintshire.

Lacie Jade Roberts, from Flint, was one of two victims of a horror crash which involved a BMW at the junction of the A548 and A5026 in Bagillt on April 22.

Lacie Jade was a pupil at Flint High School.

Rhyl Journal:

Her mum, Kieley Messham, paid a touching tribute to her.

"Lacie Jade, my little girl - I say little, but she has towered over me since she was 11," Kieley said.

"I can't express in words just how amazing Lacie was, I really can't.

"She has always been the biggest wind-up merchant in our home but in the best of ways, Lacie just loved making people laugh. Saying that, she found herself hilarious, too."

Kieley continued: "I'd do anything to hear that laugh again, literally anything.

"Lacie would jump in my bed and not leave until she had shared some of her stories from her day, she would dance with me just because. She would have long heart-to-heart talks with me whilst I chilled in the bath and she would just sit on floor.

"Lacie looked up to and loved her big sister, Paige, and would make the best out of any situation.

"She loved her younger siblings and actually became mother hen to her baby sister, Amelia, and from that I knew Lacie would have made the most loving and funny mum."

Rhyl Journal:

Kieley said: "She had so much about her and I wish I could pour it all out but no words will bring her back home to me, and to us.

"Talking with her best friends I now realise that Lacie was a rebel in the making, she broke some rules and by doing so she created some of the best memories with all of her friends - she was so popular.

"Lacie and Chloe (her best friend) were joined at the hip and I'll forever be grateful she had that amazing, crazy and funny friendship. She was so happy.

"She is loved and forever will be. I never want to not hear her name, and I'll try and keep memories of Lacie alive - whether that be crying or laughing, she will be remembered."

Kieley added: "I cannot get my head around any of this, no mother should have too. Lacie - I'm sorry, I'm lost for words, you're one-of-a-kind and no number of words can express how broken we are that your life was snatched away.

"We all love you and will miss you daily, until we meet again, my mini me - I love you so, so much.

"Love mum, Lee-jay, Paige, Heidi, Rhys and little Amelia xx"

A fundraising page in Lacie's memory has raised £8,600.
