POLICE were granted extended closure orders on three Rhyl properties linked to drug dealing.

Earlier this week, the Journal reported that temporary closure orders had been issued at the three addresses - following numerous reports and complaints regarding anti-social behaviour associated with drug dealing and drug use linked to County Lines.

Rhyl Neighbourhood Policing Team have worked alongside the landlords of all three locations in order to get a positive outcome, which has resulted in today’s actions - with officers granted two Partial Closure Orders and one Full Closure Order for the addresses in question.

North Wales Police's Denbighshire Coastal team said: "Anti-social behaviour in any form will not be tolerated, especially when it affects the peace of other members of the community which leave in close proximity.

"If you suspect any suspicious activity in your area or suspect that your neighbour is being cuckooed by County Line members, then you can contact us in confidence via Crimestoppers, the North Wales Police web chat or by emailing the Rhyl Sector email address - RhylSector@northwales.police.uk"

Cuckooing is when a drug dealer or a gang takes over a vulnerable adult's address for criminal purposes, usually as a site to supply, store or produce drugs from. Gangs will exploit an individual's vulnerabilities, often drug dependance, in order to make a profit and avoid police detection.
