The CHEAPEST places to get petrol in the Abergele, Rhyl and Prestatyn area of Denbighshire have been revealed as prices dropped for the second week in a row.

The average price of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts dropped from 162.7p per litre on March 28 to 161.9p on Monday, according to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The rise is in prices is largely down to Russia's invasion of the Ukraine - which has seen sanctions on Russian oil and gas hit UK consumers.

The cheapest places to get unleaded fuel in the area are the Asda in Kimnel Bay at 158.7p and the Essar Abergele at 159.9p.

The costliest petrol is at the Shell at Vale Service Station in Rhyl, at 170.9p.

After this, the next expensive place in the area is the BP in Prestatyn, which stands at 164.9p, followed by Shell on Faenol Avenue at 162.9p.
