HER new business venture may have only opened on Prestatyn’s High Street in mid-November but already, Hayley Morgan is dreaming bigger at The Twisted Tree.

One of four members of the management team at the shop making a more avant-garde range of gifts and items to brighten up your home, Hayley has been blown away by the feedback and support shown in the last four months, with plans to expand the shop now afoot.

Having shut up shop in Rhyl, where she ran a similar business, the move along the North Wales coastline has paid off far more than she ever anticipated.

Hayley, who hails from Manchester but moved to Prestatyn 14 years ago, said: “This great opportunity came up in Prestatyn, so we decided to jump for it.

“It’s been incredible; we’ve had such amazing feedback and we were welcomed really well by the other businesses on the High Street.

“(Due to) the success of the last few months and due to the amazing feedback we have received regarding our range of greetings cards, we are expanding the shop at the rear of the building to create The Twisted Tree Cards and Occasions shop.

“We will be able to offer a greater selection of cards, party accessories and special occasion gifts. We can't wait to open the doors to the new area in the next few weeks.”

Indeed, it has been a whirlwind few months for Hayley and the team, who strive to source quirky products by artists and crafters from the region, and from across the globe.

The shop, which also came second in a recent St David’s Day window display competition along High Street, is also looking to enhance its particularly range of candles, which have gone down a treat, and prides itself on embracing its “Welshness”.

With these expansion plans in the pipeline, their range of gifts, cards and homeware promises to only become even more unique and diverse.

Hayley added: “Our candles that are handmade and poured here on the premises have been especially popular and something that we are incredibly proud of.

“We are collaborating with our neighbours at Tu Mundo Coffee Shop to create a coffee-inspired candle.

“We’re very excited with the amazing range of gifts and home décor items that we have arriving soon, (and are) also proud to offer a wonderful selection of Welsh cards and gifts.

“Here at the crazy world of The Twisted Tree, we never know what each day will bring, but the chaos, laughter and service we offer makes every day a great day.”
