NORTH Wales Police’s Intercept Team dealt with people from a number of locations yesterday (March 8), including for drugs offences.

Two people were detained and dealt with for offences on the A55 at Pensarn, Abergele.

The team had to use pre-emptive tactics after neither occupant wanted to leave their vehicle or interact with officers, so the windows were smashed to detain them safely.

In Prestatyn, meanwhile, five people in a car were stop-searched, with two dealt with for drugs offences.

A pursuit in Rossett, Wrexham, also saw the driver of a vehicle arrested and dealt with for six offences.

The team wrote in a Facebook post: “One male decamped but the driver’s skills came to an abrupt end as he ended up in the hedge.”
