KINMEL Bay FC’s rebuilding continued with a hard-found 2-2 away draw against Llandudno Junction at the Flyover in the North Wales Coast East Football League Premier Division on Saturday (February 26).

Under the combined management team of Alex Craig, Leon Field and Andy Thomas, the Bay are now 12th, on 12 points, one place above the relegation zone.

Goals from Cael Foster, who put Kinmel Bay ahead in the first half and Richard Hill, who then equalised for them in second, secured the point against Llandudno Junction, who had goalkeeper Dean Roberts sent off in the build-up to the penalty from which Foster scored.

The managers said post-match: “Today’s group of lads got their first point since we came in and rebuilt.

“The lads have been amazing, and this is only half of them; we have a team of lads that are now willing to run through walls to get the points with only the last piece of the puzzle to solve, which is having that winning mentality which will see us next season compete again.

“Massive thanks to the Junction for the competitive game today; unfortunately, they went down to 10 men early on, and their never-give-in attitude saw them come away with a draw; a point which was evenly balanced for both sides.

“Well done to Cael Foster and Richard Hill for their goals today and for the rest of the lads for fighting for the draw.”
