A TOTAL of three trees, formerly sited in pots in front of the clubhouse at Clwb Bowlio Rhuddlan, had been kindly donated by ground staff member Colin Holmes to remember his wife June, a keen league bowler herself.

These trees have now been suitably replanted in the adjoining Admiral’s Field where they will have a better chance to grow, with Rhuddlan Town Council assuming responsibility.

Their replanting was marked by a special ceremony on February 23.

Meanwhile, ground staff and volunteers at the bowling club have been hard at work during the close season, undertaking important regeneration both inside and outside the clubhouse.

Clwb Bowlio Rhuddlan is participating in the Wales in Bloom ‘Your Neighbourhood’ initiative; spearheaded by current Rhuddlan mayor Mike Elgin and former mayor Arwel Roberts.

Hardy volunteers are ensuring the grounds of the club are being suitably spruced up and thoroughly prepared.

In the meantime, the club is gearing up to enter teams in the respective Clwydian Senior Citizens, Colwyn/Llandudno and Clwyd Leagues for season 2022.

A warm welcome is once again extended to anyone wishing to play competitive and/or social bowling at Clwb Bowlio Rhuddlan.
