A PAIR of members of Soroptimist International Denbigh, Ruthin and District met recently with Sergeant A Burns at St Asaph Police Station.
Kathy Mee, and Sue Ellis-Roberts, on behalf of the group, were happy to donate a variety of soft toys to North Wales Police which will be issued, when required, to a number of locations across North Wales.
The new toys will be placed in rooms that are waiting areas within video-recorded interview suites.
A spokesperson for the group said: “These are suites away from police stations, where children and vulnerable adults are interviewed during what can be a traumatic time for them.
“These toys will help to provide them a pleasant distraction within comfortable surroundings, and help to put them at ease.
“Soroptimist International Denbigh, Ruthin and District are pleased to support this caring and thoughtful initiative.”
