A CHARITY calendar for 2022 depicting residents dressed as Alice in Wonderland characters has gone on sale in Rhyl.

The calendar is available at the Rhyl Create art gallery in the White Rose Centre for £5.99, with the proceeds going to the mental health charity, Mind.

On Wednesday, Rhyl resident Danny Keena, dressed as the Mad Hatter, was encouraging shoppers to buy the calendar, as well as signing copies.

The photos were shot in Llandudno in September, with the gallery eventually having to restock having sold out their initial batch of the bespoke 16-page calendars.

Llandudno fundraiser Michelle Anderson, who also runs a Facebook group called ‘Mind Over Matter’, helped organise the calendar shoot in aid of Mind.

Michelle, who also helped arrange a charity superhero walk in Llandudno to support Mind, told the Journal in September: “Most of the events I’ve done have been for Mind because I like what they stand for.

“They don’t just support the person with mental health issues; they support the families and friends surrounding them. They cater for everyone.

“Mind Over Matter supports people with advice about mental health and additional needs. They can just speak on the group about their feelings, if they’re having a bad day, and just get advice from that.”
