AN ELECTRICAL fault sparked a fire at a property in Rhyl.

This was on Queen Street.

A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue service said: "We were called at 11.32pm on November 22.

"The cause was believed to be an electrical fault in the cooker.

"There was 80 per cent fire damage and 100 per cent smoke damage to the kitchen. There was also 15 per cent smoke damage throughout the rest of the property.

"Two appliances and an aerial ladder platform attended the incident."
