PRESTATYN put five past Holyhead Hotspur in a mid-table clash at Bastion Gardens.

Thomas Rowlands scored a brace for the Seasiders to help them earn a 5-1 win and leapfrog Spurs into ninth place.

Liam Morris had put the visitors ahead inside the ninth minute, but Town responded emphatically and dominated the match with well-deserved goals from Kyle Parle, Kai Wallis, Jamie Reed and Rowlands' double.

It is an important win amidst a turbulent period for Ben Heath's side, who lost their last three league games and shipped 16 goals.

Star forward Sam Spridgeon said: "Proud of all the lads today fought for each other and did the business.

"Support was fantastic today as well. We kick on from here."

Prestatyn's next league game sees them travel to bottom-placed Llanrhaeadr in a must-win game on Saturday, December 4.
