THERE has been an increase in the number of unvaccinated pregnant women in hospital or seriously ill with Covid-19.
A spokesperson from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) said: "If you are pregnant, the Covid-19 vaccine will help to protect you and your baby from avoidable harm and can be given at any time in pregnancy."
BCUHB have information on their website, including 'frequently asked questions' about the vaccination in pregnancy.
In the later stages of pregnancy, those who are pregnant are at increased risk of becoming seriously unwell with the virus.
If this happens, it is about three times more likely that a baby will be born prematurely.
