THERE are many ways to take part in Remembrance activities and events this year.

The running order for Abergele Remembrance Sunday is as follows:

Outbound - Peel Street, Water Street, Market Street, Church

At 9.30am - Assemble; 9.45am - Walk and at 10.15am, arrive at church.

A spokesperson from Abergele Town Council said: “The service will take place at St Michael’s Church followed by 11am at the Cenotaph.

“Return - Church, Market Street, Water Street, Peel Street.

“At 11.10am, there will be a walk including a salute outside the Old British Legion building.”

Due to Covid restrictions, numbers in the church are restricted and only invited guests will be able to be inside.

The spokesperson added: “The church has made arrangements for the service to be heard outside for those who wish to attend.”

There is a memorial service at 10.30am at St Mary’s in Towyn.

In Rhuddlan, On Sunday, November 14, a parade will leave Rhuddlan Community Centre for a service at 10.30am and will arrive at St Mary’s Church at 10.45am.

Members will return to the Cenotaph at Rhuddlan Community Centre for the laying of wreaths.

A spokesperson from Rhuddlan Town Council said: “Light refreshments will be served in the Community Centre.”

Face masks must be worn in church and numbers are limited in church to 120.

The arrangements in Rhyl are as follows:

A service will be held at the town’s Remembrance Gardens. The service will be conducted shortly before the 11am two-minute silence. Capacity in the gardens is limited and is restricted to invited guests who should be in place for 10.45am.

The service can also be watched from the perimeter walls of the gardens.

Those wishing to pay their respects and lay a wreath can do so afterwards.

In Prestatyn, on November 11, cllr Sharon Frobisher, the mayor of Prestatyn and Meliden, will take part in a minutes silence and wreath laying at the cenotaph at Prestatyn Parish Church.

On Sunday, November 14, cllr Frobisher will lead a gathering of Remembrance at the Meliden Garden of Remembrance just prior to 11am for the minute silence and laying of wreaths. This will be followed by a service at St Melyd’s Church , Meliden.

The mayor will go on to lead a small parade to Prestatyn Parish Church for the 3pm service.

The parade gathers at 2.20pm to march off at 2.40pm.

In St Asaph, a Remembrance Sunday service will take place at the city’s cathedral on November 14 at 9.45am. This will be followed by a procession to the war memorial where individuals and organisations will be invited to lay wreaths.
