AN MS is urging his constituents to apply for a career with aerospace manufacturer Airbus as it launches a recruitment drive.

Sam Rowlands, MS for North Wales, is backing the recruitment campaign by the Broughton firm, which is one of the region's biggest employers with more than 5,000 staff.

There are over 400 career opportunities on offer including apprenticeships, graduate schemes and internships, most based at the Flintshire site.

Airbus, an international aircraft manufacturer with a factory based in Broughton, has recently launched their early careers recruitment campaign.

Mr Rowlands said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in a career within the aviation industry. Apart from the number of people working in the factory this also has a knock-on effect for the local economy. It is also good news to see the company is investing in future generations.

“Airbus factory produces the wings for all its aircraft including the A380 superjumbo and is recognised all over the world as providing first class service and machines.

“The recruitment campaign is now up and running and anyone interested is urged to apply as soon as possible.”
