PRESTATYN enjoyed its first taste of the thrilling Clubbercise experience when the disco-flavoured exercise class launched at a fitness club in the town on Friday, October 22.

More than 100 people revelled in the joyous atmosphere of the three classes at Club Nova, which, with the aid of plenty of Clubbercise’s trademark LED glow sticks, combined the adrenaline rush of an intense, rewarding workout with the euphoria of a great night out with friends.

As well as the 45-minute classes, which went down a treat and were led by ‘master Clubbercise trainers’, the launch also included live DJ sets, complementary drinks at the new Bar Nova, and a special guest appearance from the unmistakeable ‘Glo Robot’.

Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, said: “As soon as we announced the launch of this class, we had a load of enquiries; we’ve still got waiting lists we’re working through even five minutes before the classes start.

“But tonight (Friday) is a really good opportunity for us to showcase our brand-new premier fitness destination that we’ve got here in Club Nova, and also added to that, we’ve got our new Club Nova bar exclusively for members. Everybody’s already enjoying themselves.”

Club Nova was not the only Denbighshire Leisure location to introduce Clubbercise; the classes, described as a ‘fun, full body workout with a banging soundtrack’, have also launched at Ruthin Leisure Centre.

The classes, which involve a combination of dance, toning and combat moves and higher and lower intensities to accommodate all fitness levels, will be held in Club Nova, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from now on, and in Ruthin on Wednesdays nights
