A NEW cheating map reveals a rise in people in Rhyl and Prestatyn having affairs.

It also shows that adultery has increased in the last year.

The map shows 599 people are having affairs in Rhyl and 397 in Prestatyn.

The Rhyl figure of 599 cheats is up from 572 last year.

In Prestatyn the 397 figure is up from 359 last year.

The rise was due, it has been claimed, to the end of pandemic restrictions and people unhappy with their partners during lockdown seeking affairs as the country returns to normal.

Figures for other towns in North Wales included Llandudno (617 cheats, up from 495 last year), Colwyn Bay (447 cheats, up from 420 last year), and 662 people having affairs in Wrexham.

IllicitEncounters.com spokeswoman Jessica Leoni said: “Record numbers of people came back from their summer holidays miserable and looking for excitement after 18 months of being bored and stuck at home with their partners.

“We have enjoyed the busiest year in our history with women in particular looking to start afresh and joining in unprecedented numbers.

“The cheating surge will continue as more of us return to the office in the run-up to Christmas. Adulterers often use work as a way to cover up their affair.”

The figures are based on IllicitEncounters’ own extensive data on the numbers of Britons cheating.

The interactive Infidelity Index allows users to search a city, town or postcode to discover how many people are having affairs in any locality.
