Fraudster Daniel Stevenson paid £27 for shopping using another man’s chip and pin bank card which was accidentally left in a machine – but had scanned his own Tesco Clubcard.
Magistrates at Llandudno heard this when Stevenson, aged 39, unemployed, of South Parade, Pensarn, Abergele, was fined £80 with £119 costs. He admitted fraud.
Angelina Brighton, aged 37, of Marine Road, Pensarn, received the same penalty for the offence.
Defence solicitor Craig Hutchinson said both had difficulties with their mental health but were engaging with their doctor.
There was also CCTV footage of the defendants at Abergele.
