THIS week’s Tying The Knot puts the spotlight on Beth and Andy who were married at St Asaph Cathedral.
The couple wed at the magnificent building on July 31. After the service, Beth’s parents [Jo and Mel] held a beautiful garden reception at their house. The property has stunning countryside views; a perfect location for photos!
Behind the camera was the talented Rachel Roberts, of Rachel Sian Photography. Based in Rhyl, Rachel is a new-born, family, wedding and brand photographer.
“The day began with bridal prep at Jo and Mel’s house,” Rachel said.
“It was so lovely to capture all the excitement leading up to the wedding and Beth came across as such a calm and cool bride-to-be.
“Bridal prep photos tell the whole story of the morning leading up to that special moment. It is not only capturing behind the scenes of getting ready, but the bond of friends and family at this memorable occasion, the excitement and nerves, dad seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time, tears, laughter, hugs and all those beautiful moments before saying ‘I do’.
“Some people choose not to have bridal prep photos, but I believe it’s one of the most important parts of the day.”
Beth travelled in a beautiful vintage car with her dad Mel to the cathedral.
Rachel added: “The ceremony was so lovely and we got some emotional captures in this picturesque building and then group photos outside before heading off to the garden reception where the celebrations began.
“I had taken photos for Beth and Andy before and we have become friends.
“What I love about my job is that these moments are captured forever and you really do grow a bond with clients.”
